Several years ago, I was miserably sick for a couple of months. I saw a few different doctors at Quick Care. The last doctor told me I had allergies and prescribed nasal spray. I was still coughing up a storm, had fever and felt like crap. About a week later, I was able to get into to see my PCP. who had an opening. Turned out I had pneumonia so bad he admitted me that day. I spent almost a week in the hospital. 

Doctors miss things or some doctors just don't care and dismiss things. The first two times I was seen, I kind of understood them thinking it was something mundane. That second to last time, when I told that doctor how ill I was for how long, how nothing helped, she gave me nasal spray...... I think I was just another number to her.
